Integrated Transcriptome and Metabolome Analyses Reveal the Mechanisms of Stem Color Formation in Codonopsis pilosula Involving Anthocyanin Biosynthesis
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Codonopsis pilosula, a significant medicinal and culinary plant, necessitates research and innovation in its germplasm. The objective of this study is to uncover the molecular basis of stem anthocyanin pigmentation in a novel cultivar of C. pilosula. We conducted a comparative analysis between a green-stemmed cultivar (CL) and a purple-stemmed cultivar (CZ) using a multi-faceted approach encompassing physiological, transcriptomic, and metabolomic studies.
ORGANISM(S): Codonopsis pilosula
