Characterization of Arabidopsis thaliana MYB47 and MYB95 transcription factors in response to jasmonic acid in leaves.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We have found that Arabidopsis thaliana paralogous two MYBs, namely MYB47 and MYB95, regulate TSA1 and BGLU18 expression and ER-body formation in response to jasmonic acid (JA). To comprehensively understand the transcriptional regulation of these MYBs in response to JA, we conducted RNA-seq analysis between JA-treated rosette leaves of wild-type and myb47myb95 knockout mutants, together with myc2myc3myc4 mutant that is defective in master transcriptional regulator of JA signaling pathway. The transcriptome data analysis revealed that MYB47 and MYB95 regulate a subset of JA-responsive genes, including ER-body and defense-related genes.
