The impact of BSCI exposure on labour in pregnant mice after IL1A induction

ABSTRACT: To examine changes in chromatin accessibility involved in BSCI-mediated prevention of IL-1α-induced labour in pregnant mice, we conducted ATAC-seq on mouse myometrial tissues from four groups: Vehicle, IL-1α, BSCI and combined IL-1α with BSCI. Specifically, IL-1α is a method of labour induction, while administration of BSCI prior to and after administration of IL-1α prevents labour onset in mice. These data enable dissection of cis-regulatory elements involved in labour onset in response to IL-1α labour induction, as well as understanding of how these regions are modified in response to BSCI to prevent labour induction.
