High-Cell-Density Fed-Batch Fermentation of PG-PANC-AC Strain for Progesterone Production

ABSTRACT: We metabolically engineered Saccharomyces cerevisiae BY4742 to construct strain PG-PANC-AC, which can de novo synthesize progesterone using ethanol as a carbon source. To investigate the changes in gene transcription levels of this strain at different time points during progesterone production in a 5 L fermenter system, we performed RNA-seq analysis on collected samples.
