Gene expression profiling of adult C. elegans in response to heat hormesis regimen
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To understand the molecular basis of heat hormesis, we adapted a regimen in which C. elegans that had been cultured at 20°C were exposed to 30°C for 6 hours during early adulthood (referred to as ‘priming’), allowed to recover for 12 hours at 20°C, and then challenged with heat shock (HS) at 35°C. We applied this hormesis regimen to wild-type (N2) or germline-less glp-1(e2144) worms.
