Colon cancer resistance to Integrated Stress Response (IRS) at a clonal level
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We explored a gene-editing approach to deplete ephrinB2 from colorectal cancer cell clones using a Doxycyline (Dox)-inducible lentiviral vector encoding a short hairpin (sh) RNA for ephrinB2 silencing via RNA interference. We discovered that shRNA-mediated gene silencing induced massive cell death in 596-7 cells (Ha T, et al. Antisense transcription from lentiviral gene targeting linked to an integrated stress response in colorectal cancer cells. Mol Ther Nucleic Acids. 2022;28:877-891.), with a small portion of cells maintaining viability.
