Transcriptome analysis of LepR knockout golden hamsters
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To investigate the functional role of LepR in golden hamsters, we performed RNA sequencing on LepR-knockout golden hamsters and their control group (wild-type golden hamsters). Further analysis revealed that LepR knockout led to the development of diabetic phenotypes in golden hamsters, with changes primarily driven by activation of inflammatory pathways, as well as dysregulation of lipid metabolism and the extracellular matrix. Thus, our study provides a novel animal model for the development of diabetes.
