Longitudinal single-cell RNA sequencing of PBMCs from a Guillain–Barré syndrome patient before and after IVIg treatment
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were collected longitudinally from a patient with Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS) before and after intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) treatment. Single-cell RNA sequencing was performed to characterize treatment-associated immune remodeling at single-cell resolution. The study identified stage-dependent transcriptional changes in plasma cells, monocytes, B cells, and double-negative T cells, revealing alterations in inflammatory, humoral, and cytokine-mediated immune pathways.
