Transcriptomic profiling of MIA PaCa-2 cells treated with hydroxyprogesterone caproate
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains refractory to targeted therapy. This RNA-sequencing study characterizes transcriptional changes in the human PDAC cell line MIA PaCa-2 following treatment with hydroxyprogesterone caproate (HPC). Comparison with DMSO vehicle-treated cells was used to identify HPC-responsive genes and pathways. The transcriptomic analysis supported repression of cell-cycle, DNA-replication and pyrimidine-metabolism programs and contributed to investigation of the COP1-CEBPB-CDA mechanism underlying the anti-PDAC activity of HPC.
