Transcriptome analysis of testis from H3mm15-EGFP transgenic mice at postnatal day 14

ABSTRACT: H3mm15 is a testis-specific histone H3 variant. To characterize the transcriptional context of its chromatin incorporation in the germline, we generated transgenic mice expressing an H3mm15-EGFP fusion protein under the CAG enhancer/promoter and performed RNA-seq on testes collected at postnatal day 14. This dataset defines the set of genes expressed in transgenic testis and provides the expression reference used to relate H3mm15-EGFP chromatin incorporation, determined by ChIL-seq in the same tissue, to transcriptional activity.
