Transcriptomic profiling of gastrocnemius muscle from young, aged, and UA-30-treated aged mice
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Skeletal muscle aging is accompanied by functional decline, fibrosis, and mitochondrial dysfunction. To characterize transcriptional changes associated with natural aging and UA-30 treatment, RNA sequencing was performed on gastrocnemius muscle from young mice, saline-treated aged mice, and aged mice treated orally with UA-30 (100 mg/kg once daily for 10 weeks). Four independent biological replicates were analyzed per group. This dataset was used to identify age-associated genes whose expression was oppositely regulated by UA-30 and to examine enriched biological processes.
