Transcriptomic profiling of rat brain tissue 21 days after middle cerebral artery occlusion
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Ischemic stroke induces persistent molecular alterations in brain tissue during the recovery phase. To characterize transcriptomic changes at a late post-stroke time point, RNA sequencing was performed on hemisphere samples from adult rats subjected to sham surgery (n = 2) or middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO; n = 4). All tissues were collected 21 days after surgery. This dataset was designed to compare the transcriptomic profiles of sham-operated and MCAO rats and contains no samples receiving cell transplantation, pharmacological treatment, or other therapeutic intervention.
