RNA-Sequencing of 2,4-D treated Brachypodium distachyon roots containing NLS

ABSTRACT: In this study we treated Brachypodium distachyon roots with synthetic auxin, 2,4-D, to induce nodule-like structures (NLS) and performed RNA-seq to assess transcriptome changes during NLS formation. Overall design: Three biological replicates per treatment; total RNA was isolated individually from each replicate.

Auxins can induce the formation of nodule-like structures (NLS) in plant roots even in the absence of rhizobia and nitrogen-fixing bacteria can colonize these structures.
