Project description:We asked whether Campylobacter jejuni isolated from patients with Guillain-Barri syndrome (GBS) differ from isolates isolated from patients with uncomplicated gastrointestinal infection using DNA microarray analysis. We found that specific GBS genes or regions were not identified, and microarray analysis confirmed significant genomic heterogeneity among the isolates. An all pairs experiment design type is where all labeled extracts are compared to every other labeled extract. Keywords: all_pairs

Project description:Identification of targets of the protein disulfide reductase thioredoxin using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and thiol specific differential labeling with isotope-coded affinity tags (ICAT). Reduction of specific target disulfides is quantified by measuring ratios of cysteine residues labeled with the heavy (13C) and light (12C) ICAT reagents in peptides derived from tryptic digests of Trx-treated and non-treated samples. Keywords: protein, LC-MS/MS, ICAT
Project description:Liquid bacterial monocultures for 16 cheese rind microbiome derived Actinobacteria isolates were performed in Brain Heart Infusion (BHI) medium for 7 days and extracted using Amberlite XAD16 resin followed by methanol. Extracts were analyzed via LC-MS/MS and blank MS/MS spectra were removed using BLANKA2 with an eps value of 0.1 for GNPS classical molecular networking analysis.
Project description:We compared differential gene expression in ST399/EMM-77, invasive ST28/EMM-1 and non-invasive ST28/EMM-1, 4 isolates in each group.
Project description:Replicates of strains used in comparison of microarray to RAPD analysis for the publication. Findings from use of an open-reading frame-specific Campylobacter jejuni DNA microarray to investigate genetic diversity among clinical isolates associated with 5 independent clusters of infection were compared with data from random amplified polymeric DNA (RAPD) and Penner serotyping analyses. The DNA microarray provides a highly specific epidemiological typing tool for analysis of C. jejuni isolates and reveals both divergent and highly conserved gene classes among isolates Set of arrays that are part of repeated experiments Keywords: Biological Replicate
