Comparative proteomics and palmitoylome analysis of OsDHHC29 mutant in rice

ABSTRACT: This project presents a comparative analysis of global proteomics and palmitoylome (S-acylation) in rice (Oryza sativa L.) using the OsDHHC29 mutant line (XS) and its wild-type background ZH11 (Japanese rice cultivar Nipponbare background, JC7331). Palmitoylation, catalyzed by DHHC-type palmitoyltransferases, is a reversible protein lipid modification critical for membrane targeting and signal transduction. Three biological replicates were performed for both proteomics (DA) and palmitoylome (DPPA) analyses to investigate the regulatory role of OsDHHC29 in rice protein palmitoylation and its impact on the global proteome.
