<h4>Ethnopharmacological relevance</h4>Extracts of orchids have been traditionally used as human phytotherapeutics. Cyrtopodium flavum, for example, due to the analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, beside the capacity of heal skin lesions has been focus of research.
