Proteomics is a powerful method to comprehensively understand cellular posttranslational modifications (PTMs). Owing to low abundance, tryptic peptides with PTMs are usually enriched for enhanced coverage by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
