Lactobacillus johnsonii-derived oxindole protects acute lung injury by reducing CXCL13

ABSTRACT: Gut microbiota is altered in mice with acute lung injury (ALI). Supplementation with Lactobacillus johnsonii, which is deficient in it, improved ALI in mice, and we elucidated the underlying mechanisms of the improvement by metabolomics.
