Low-temperature induced neuro-oxidative stress and metabolic reprogramming in the brain of juvenile fourfinger threadfin (Eleutheronema tetradactylum)
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study investigated the effects of low-temperature stress on the brain metabolome of juvenile fourfinger threadfin (Eleutheronema tetradactylum). Using UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS-based untargeted metabolomics, we analyzed brain tissues from fish exposed to 28°C (control) and 18°C for 7 and 14 days. The aim was to identify key metabolic pathways and neuro-oxidative stress responses under cold stress, providing insights into the physiological adaptation mechanisms of this species to low temperature.
