Nano-Kinetic Implant Surface Mediates Osteo-Antibacterial Synergy through Electromagnetic-Mechanical Coupling
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This untargeted LC-MS/MS metabolomics study investigates metabolic differences between laboratory reference Staphylococcus aureus and periprosthetic implant-associated Staphylococcus aureus in bacterial suspension samples associated with implant surface lavage. The metabolomics dataset forms part of a study evaluating a remotely activated movable magnetic topographic surface (MMTS) designed to disrupt bacterial biofilms under an external electromagnetic field (EMF). Metabolites were profiled in both positive and negative electrospray ionization modes to characterize differential metabolic features associated with the two bacterial groups.
INSTRUMENT(S): Liquid Chromatography MS - negative - reverse-phase, Liquid Chromatography MS - positive - reverse-phase
