Patients with diabetes face an increased risk of developing cataracts, with unclear mechanisms. Our study illuminates these mechanisms by identifying differentially expressed proteins in the lens anterior capsule of patients with diabetic cataract (DC) and age-related cataract using quantitative proteomics.
