Project description:The goal of this study is to explore genes that are differentially expressed in E. coli C strains (wt and a butanol-tolerant mutant) after 1-butanol treatment. The butanol-tolerant mutant strain PKH5000 (denoted by 'E' for 'evolved') were derived from KCTC 2571 (wt) (denoted by 'A' for 'ancestral') by proton beam irradiation. 0 and 1 in sample title mean before and after butanol treatment, respectively.
Project description:Investigation of whole genome gene expression level changes in S. pneumoniae KCTC 5080T, S. mitis KCTC 3556T, S. oralis KCTC 13048T, and S. pseudopneumoniae CCUG 49455T. This proves that transcriptional profiling can facilitate in elucidating the genetic distance between closely related strains.

All microarray experiments were carried out in triplicate (rep1-3). Probes were spotted in duplicate on separate area of each microarray slide, which produces two GPR files (a and b suffixes).
Project description:Escherichia coli release Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) which carry diverse molecular cargo. Pathogenic E.coli EVs contain virulence factors which assist during infection in the host in different mechanisms. The RNA cargo of E.coli EVs has not been assessed in their effect in the host. We used microarray data to asses and compare the global response of bladder cells to EV-RNA from pathogenic E.coli (Uropathogenic UPEC 536) and non-pathogenic E. coli (probiotic Nissle 1917)

This proves that transcriptional profiling can facilitate in elucidating the genetic distance between closely related strains. A one chip study using total RNA recovered from S. pseudopneumoniae CCUG 49455T with three strain. For the the transcriptome of S. pseudopneumoniae CCUG 49455T was analyzed using the S. pneumoniae R6 microarray platform and compared with those of S. pneumoniae KCTC 5080T, S. mitis KCTC 3556T, and S. oralis KCTC 13048T strains.
