Project description:The goal of this study was to elucidate genes that are employed by the bacterivorous nematode Caenorhabditis elegans to respond to the emerging nosocomial bacterial pathogen Stenotrophomonas maltophilia.
Project description:E. coli K12 cells (in 9 g/L NaCl) were irradiated with blue laser ligth (448 nm) for 5 s (310 J/cm2) or 20 s (1240 J/cm2) both with an intensity of 62 W/cm2 and the transcriptome was compared to that of unirradiated cells
Project description:Primary human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs, n=4) were exposed to low-magnitude pre-conditioning FSS (1.5 dynes/cm2) 18h using the Ibidi pump system followed by exposure to the arterial- (15 dynes/cm2) or venous-magnitude (1.5 dynes/cm2) FSS for 24h. Conditioned media was collected to analyse the effect of acute changes in the haemodynamic environment on the EC secretome.
