Project description:Lachnospira eligens (LE) was identified as a novel probiotic candidate in the multi-centric prospective observational clinical study MicroAML (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier NCT03881826). LE abundance was reduced in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients as compared to healthy individuals, and correlated with muscle strength. The antiatrophic effect of LE supernatant was assessed and confirmed in vitro. RNAseq analysis was performed in a pool of two independent experiments in which murine C2C12 myotubes were incubated or not with LE H260 supernatant filtered at 1 kDa, in the presence or not of the atrophying agent dexamethasone, for 48 hours.
