Project description:Microbial communities in the rhizosphere make significant contributions to crop health and nutrient cycling. However, their ability to perform important biogeochemical processes remains uncharacterized. Important functional genes, which characterize the rhizosphere microbial community, were identified to understand metabolic capabilities in the maize rhizosphere using GeoChip 3.0-based functional gene array method.

Project description:Bacillus altitudinis phage isolated from maize rhizosphere
Project description:Southern corn leaf blight (SCLB), caused by Bipolaris maydis, poses a serious threat to maize production worldwide. In our previous study, Bacillus velezensis BV3 was isolated and demonstrated strong antagonistic activity against maize leaf spot pathogens and effective disease control in greenhouse experiments.
Project description:Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus pumilus interaction with Maize, extracted from rhizosphere with 80% MeOH. Run on maXis with C18 column in positive mode.
