Project description:Here, we integrated high-throughput transcriptome and proteome sequencing to construct a comprehensive protein database for the byssus of Chinese green mussel (Perna viridis), aiming at providing novel insights into the molecular mechanisms of byssal binding to heavy metals.
Project description:Transcriptome profiling of whole proboscis and body wall of the marine Polychaeta Eulalia sp. (Eulalia viridis), adults, wild population (sex undiscriminated), collected from the rocky intertidal at W Portugal (2018).
Project description:Setaria viridis, the wild ancestor of millet, exhibits strong repression of crown root growth in drought. We compare in gene expression in the S. viridis crown between drought vs watered treatments.
Project description:the shell of P. viridis was analyzed and two shell layers with different morphologies and polymorphs were observed, which includes nacre and myostracum strongly attached by adductor muscles to the interior of the shell surface. In order to understand whether these two shell layers contain different set of shell matrix proteins (SMPs), a parallel proteomics analysis of SMPs in the two shell layers was performed. A combination of LC-MS/MS analysis with the mantle transcriptome dataset searching resulted in the identification of a total of more than 300 proteins from P. viridis shell.
