Project description:LRRC8A-containing volume-regulated anion channels regulate redox signaling, inflammatory transcriptional activity, metabolism, and senescence in vascular smooth muscle cells. To define transcriptional changes caused by LRRC8A deletion, bulk RNA sequencing was performed on primary cultured mouse aortic vascular smooth muscle cells isolated from wild-type and smooth muscle-specific LRRC8A knockout mice. The dataset was used to identify genotype-dependent differences in inflammatory, hypoxia-responsive, metabolic, and stress-related gene-expression pathways.
