Project description:This project aims to conduct a comprehensive proteomic sequencing analysis of extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from Momordica charantia, systematically identify the protein composition and abundance characteristics of these EVs, and further explore the potential biological functions and molecular mechanisms of the key differential proteins in regulating cell physiological activities, which lays a theoretical foundation for the development and utilization of bioactive substances derived from Momordica charantia.
Project description:In this study, a novel IR-binding protein (IRBP) from Momordica charantia, named as mcIRBP, was identified by analyzing the physical and functional interactions between mcIRBP and IR. The hypoglycemic effect and mechanism of mcIRBP were further evaluated in normal and streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice.
Project description:D24, MM418-C1 melanoma and HaCaT cells were treated with 100 µg/mL of the different M. cochinchinensis seed extracts for 48 h prior to RNA collection. Results were presented as the fold change compared to untreated controls ± SEM (n=3), different letters indicated statistical significance at p≤0.05 between different treatments (Analysis by One-way ANOVA with Turkey’s LSD test).
