RNA-sequencing of Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer (EOCRC) samples, normal adjacent tissue and metastasis
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In this study, RNA-sequencing was performed on 9 early-onset colorectal cancer (EO-CRC) samples, 8 adjacent normal tissues, and 5 liver metastases. The resulting data were analyzed to characterize gene expression profiling and to explore the activity of transposable elements. This analysis revealed that EO-CRC specifically reactivates placental-like transcriptional features associated with early developmental reprogramming, sustained by the expression of HERVH, a family of retrotransposons involved in the maintenance of pluripotency
