RNA Seq Data of adult Drosophila melanogaster heads with Mushroombody-specific knockdown of Atg5 in comparison to wildtype controls

ABSTRACT: This Dataset contains global mRNA expression data of 10 day old female adult Drosophila melanogaster heads in which autophagy, a fundamental cellular degradation pathway in contexts of health and disease, is impaired in a major brain region, the Mushroombody, by RNAi mediated knockdown of Atg5 (ok107-Gal4>UAS-Atg5-RNAi). The control group consists of an age- and sex-matched wildtypic Drosophila strain (ok107-Gal4/+). 4 biological replicates per genotype were processed, each sample containing around 50 Drosophila heads. Samples labelled with AB1-AB4 refer to the control group, samples labelled with XY1-XY4 to the Atg5 knockdown group.
