Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) incidence has risen rapidly with the introduction of screening mammography, yet it is unclear who benefits from both the amount and type of adjuvant treatment (radiation therapy, (RT), endocrine therapy (ET)) versus what constitutes over-treatment.
