This study investigates the adrenal gland structure and gene expression in <i>Acomys cahirinus</i> compared to <i>Mus musculus</i>, aiming to assess its relevance for human adrenal disease modeling. We identified a well-defined zona reticularis in <i>Acomys</i>, resembling the human adrenal cortex.
