T cell activation and function depend on Ca<sup>2+</sup> signals mediated by store-operated Ca<sup>2+</sup> entry (SOCE) through Ca<sup>2+</sup> release-activated Ca<sup>2+</sup> (CRAC) channels formed by ORAI1 proteins.
