Reactive Oxygen Species formation in HepG2 cells by compound exposure
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We quantified ROS formation in HepG2 cells by DCFDA fluorescent probe signal. This was done using five exposure scenarios: (1) HepG2 cells under standard oxygen conditions (20% O2); (2) HepG2 cells under reduced oxygen conditions (3% O2); (3) maturated HepG2 cells receiving acute exposure; (4) maturated HepG2 cells receiving repeated exposure; (5) maturated HepG2 cells receiving repeated exposure and recovery. DCF formation was measured after 1 h of exposure to various compounds at multiple concentrations, as well as several controls.
This study was performed as part of the RISK-HUNT3R project and the PARC project.
