Study of gene expression in mouse primary hepatocytes cultured in hydrogels with different stiffnesses in wild-type and YAP/TAZ knockout.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Liver stiffness is extensively utilized as a crucial indicator in the diagnosis and monitoring of MASLD, the contribution of increased stiffness on impaired liver functions and its molecular mechanisms remains poorly understood. Wild-type or Yap/Taz knock-out hepatocytes were cultured on soft (1 kPa) and stiff (20 kPa) hydrogels to embody healthy and fibrotic livers and subjected to metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses.
