Transcriptome analysis in the prefrontal cortex of Dyrk1a+/I48X heterozygous mice treated with drug

ABSTRACT: Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) affect ~2.8% of the population, but the underlying biological mechanisms remain poorly understood, largely due to significant genetic heterogeneity. Mouse models have identified numerous candidate mechanisms; however, whether these can be grouped into functionally coherent subtypes remains unclear, limiting targeted, mechanism-based treatments. We analyzed prefrontal cortex transcriptomes from 17 distinct ASD mouse models, encompassing both sexes, under baseline and two separate drug-treatment conditions, totaling 1,008 mice across 204 groups.
