Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein promotes lung fibroblast activation via TLR2/4-dependent IL-6 signaling: implications in pulmonary fibrosis
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study investigates the role of Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (CIRBP) in the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis. Using RNA-seq, we analyzed gene expression changes in primary mouse lung fibroblasts stimulated with recombinant CIRBP or PBS control. CIRBP significantly upregulated cytokine-related gene expression, including IL-6, and promoted collagen production and fibroblast proliferation via TLR2/4 pathways.
