Early Intervention of the PKC-Hippo Signaling Alleviates Post-Traumatic Osteoarthritis
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) is a progressive joint disease triggered by mechanical injury and characterized by inflammation and cartilage degradation. The Hippo signaling pathway and its upstream regulator PKCζ have emerged as key modulators of mechano-inflammatory responses in chondrocytes. This study aimed to investigate the dynamic regulation of the PKC-Hippo signaling axis following joint injury and to evaluate the therapeutic potential of targeting this pathway in early PTOA.
