Spatial and functional heterogeneity of cancer-associated fibroblasts at the tumor center and invasive tumor front of oral squamous cell carcinoma with distinct worst patterns of invasion
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The worst pattern of invasion (WPOI) is an established prognostic feature in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), but the spatial contribution of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) to highly invasive WPOI4-5 tumors remains unclear. We performed bulk RNA sequencing of paired CAFs isolated from the tumor center and invasive tumor front of two WPOI1-3 and two WPOI4-5 OSCC tumors. This dataset supports paired analyses of regional expression differences and the WPOI-by-region interaction.
