we report a photoactivation-dependent proximity labeling (PDPL) method designed by genetically attaching photosensitizer protein miniSOG to a protein of interest (POI). Triggered by blue light, singlet oxygen is generated, enabling temporally-resolved chemical probe labeling.

Data contains LC-MS results of proximity-dependent biotin labeling to generate the protein interaction network of IRS1 protein fused with Flag-miniTurbo (N-terminal tag) and expressed in T-REx HEK293 cells.

The vertebrate brain consists of diverse neuronal types, classified by distinct anatomy and function, along with divergent transcriptomes and proteomes. Defining the cell-type specific neuroproteome is important for understanding the development and functional organization of neural circuits. This t...

Lee SY, Chea JS, Zhao BX, Xu C, Udeshi ND, Roh H, Kim C, Cho K, Carr SA, Ting A. 2022 The incorporation of light-responsive domains into engineered proteins has produced optogenetic tools with the ability to regulate protein localization, interactions, and function with light. We introduced this mod...

Enhanced ascorbate peroxidase 2 (APEX2) can be used as a genetic tag that produces short-lived yet highly reactive biotin species, allowing the modification of proteins that interact with or are in very close proximity to the tagged protein, ideally within a confined compartment. Biotinylated protei...

This proximity-dependent labeling screen was set up to investigate the “proxisome” (i.e. the sum of proteins in the labeling diameter around a bait protein) of the LAMTOR complex. Furthermore, we aimed at understanding the recruitment dynamics of known and unknown proteins to and from the LAMTOR com...
