Amniotic membrane stromal cells facilitate corneal epithelial tissue engineering by promoting the expansion of limbal epithelial stem cells [RNA-seq 2]
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To explore whether amniotic membrane stromal cells (AMSCs) can promote the expansion of limbal stem cells (LSCs) during corneal epithelial tissue engineering, we performed transcriptomic profiling of in vitro-expanded rabbit limbal epithelial sheets cultured on live (L-dAM) or dead (D-dAM) amniotic membranes, as well as the underlying human AMSCs.
