Protein corona composition polydopamine iron oxide microparticles to detect microthrombi in ischemic stroke
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The objective of this study is to analyze the protein composition of the protein corona formed on the surface of polydopamine iron oxide microparticles. These microparticles can adhere to microthrombi during ischemic stroke and reveal them on MRI without the presence of a ligand on their surface. We have demonstrated the essential role of the protein corona in the adhesion to thrombosis and therefore analyzed the proteins from this corona to better understand what proteins are involved in this mechanism.
