Two replicates of GV, GVBD, and MII oocytes were subjected to the 6-plex TMT labeling, HP-RP fractionation, and LC-MS/MS analysis. Two labeling experiments were performed for the total four replicates of each stage of oocytes.

Five replicates of GV, GVBD, and MII oocytes were subjected to the 15-plex TMT labeling, HP-RP fractionation, and LC-MS/MS analysis. For each replicate, 2,000 oocytes were collected from each of the GV, GVBD, and MII stages. Ti4+-IMAC was used to enrich phosphopeptides.

In cultured cumulus oocyte complexes (COC) FSH induces gene transcription required for germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD). Experiments were performed to determine the critical period when gene transcription is required for GVBD and identify candidate mRNAs involved. Experiment I: murine COC were cult...

Growing mammalian oocytes accumulate substantial amounts of RNA, most of which are degraded during the subsequent maturation stage. The growth-to-maturation transition begins with germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD, envisioned as nuclear envelope breakdown) and is critical for oocyte quality. However,...

A growing number of studies have examined transcriptional responses to sex steroids along the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis in teleost fishes. However, data is are lacking on the molecular signaling cascades that underlie progesterone signaling. The objectives of the present study were to ch...
