Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a prevalent neuropsychiatric disorder associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Increasing evidence suggests that a subset of MDD patients exhibit a dysregulated immune system. However, few clinical studies have tested the efficacy of anti-inflammatory drugs in reducing symptoms of depression.
