The DNA content of bacteriophages from Bartonella grahamii was investigated by hybridization against cellular DNA from the same organism. Phage particles were isolated from plate grown bacteria as well as from different growth phases during culture in liquid medium.

An ex-vivo human skin model was used to investigate the host skin response to M. sympodialis on oily (supplemented with oleic acid) and non-oily skin. Host-pathogen interactions were analysed by different molecular techniques including proteomics.

Nicotinamide seed treatment is investigated as a method for production of robust plants. Previous studies have shown that nicotinamide promotes the plant defence system and decreases DNA methylation levels. The purpose of the present work was to learn more about the underlying molecular mechanisms. ...

Male breast cancer (MBC) is extremely rare and poorly characterized on the molecular level. Using high-resolution genomic data, we aimed to characterize MBC by genomic imbalances and to compare it with female breast cancer (FBC), and further to investigate whether the genomic profiles hold any progn...

We studied the effect of cyclin E overexpression in the breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-468, by comparing cyclin E transfected cells with control-transfected cells. The cyclin E/control hybridization was performed twice and cDNA from control transfected cells was used as a reference.
