Citramalate is a chemical of potential industrial importance. Efficient fermentations have been developed using recombinant E. coli as the chassis. The experiments explore the transcriptional reprogramming that occurs upon induction of citramalate production.
ORGANISM(S): Escherichia coli K-12
Proteomics part of multi-omic analyses of the citramalate fermentation were undertaken to uncover the reasons for remarkable citramalate productivity in an engineered strain of E. coli.
